Israeli audiences have a chance to see the famed dancemaker’s wares when the Paul Taylor Dance Company tours to Petach Tikva, Haifa, Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv.
The Batsheva Ensemble’s production of “Kamuyot” is a uniquely engaging work that lives up to its billing as “a piece for children aged 6 to 90.”
Like well-made furniture, Yael Flexer’s movement is functional. So perhaps it’s fitting that in Flexer’s “The Living Room,” the dancers jokingly furnish the bare space themselves.
“It’s not just about the audience watching us but it’s also about us in a sense watching them,” says choreographer Yael Flexer about her work.
This year’s intensive will be held from July 11-23 in Tel Aviv at the Batsheva studios in the Suzanne Dellal Center. Read on for more details!
